At Dembski Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, we pride our practice on its efforts to work with patients to identify and resolve various ailments. With a patient population of almost 4,000, our practice meets the needs of individuals seeking advice and/or treatment through our diverse staff, which includes chiropractors, a massage therapist, a nutritionist and, in the near future, an acupuncturist. We treat all musculoskeletal injuries, including, but not limited to: neck, back, hip, knee, running and rotator cuff injuries; headaches; tennis elbow; effects of repetitive stress; and plantar fasciitis. There is an emphasis on myofascial therapy and techniques such as the Graston Technique and Active-Release Technique. Our patients typically undergo short trials of treatment with the goal of eventual self-care through home care instructions and lifestyle advice. We utilize diagnostic imaging, lab work and specialty referrals to supplement our patient treatment. Using these methods, we aim to resolve injuries and improve health among our patients. Dr. Christopher E. Dembski earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy and his Doctor of Chiropractic. He has been practicing chiropractic for almost eighteen years, remaining passionate about his work. The expansion of the practice to include practitioners from various fields reflects his dedication to the promotion of patient health. A former collegiate athlete, Dr. Dembski continues to remain athletic through endurance sports. He has participated in the Half Ironman Triathlon and has completed five marathons in the last six years. Not only does he aim to keep his patients healthy, but he also strives to take his own advice!
Dr. Maximenko joined Dembski Chiropractic and Rehabilitation in 2011 as an Associate Chiropractic Physician. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport’s College of Chiropractic with her Doctor of Chiropractic, as well as Masters in Nutrition. She earned her Master’s degree in Sports Health Care from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona in 2008. Dr. Maximenko also studied at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT where she received her Bachelor of Science in Human Movement and Sports Science in 2005. Dr. Maximenko is ART (Active Release Technique) certified for the management of soft tissue and joint dysfunction.
In addition to chiropractic care, Dr. Maximenko provides nutritional counseling services for a variety of patient needs ranging from weight loss and disease management to athletic performance enhancement with a focus on teaching patients how to practice healthy eating as a lifestyle rather than dieting for short-term results.
Outside of the office, Dr. Maximenko competes at the professional level in the sport of Cyclocross and is on the PowerBar Team Elite. From 2006-2012, she also competed as an elite level triathlete and achieved “All American” status in 2011 and 2012 racing triathlons. Dr. Maximenko uses her experience as an accomplished athlete to provide comprehensive care to all of her patients, especially those engaging in all varieties of sports competitions.
